Here it is, my very late Valentine's drawing and story. Please read and enjoy. WARNING: MAY BE SAD
A brown-haired boy sat quietly on the bench in the almost empty park, waiting for the high school to release its students. Today’s the day. He thought, staring down at the heart-shaped red box that lay upon his oversized stomach. A heavy sigh escaped his lips as his dark eyes remained glued to the box of chocolates, his mind fighting over whether or not he should eat one before handing it over to his love. An image of a beautiful blonde teen flashed through his mind and he smiled with pleasure. A loud yell snapped the boy from his daydream as a couple of younger kids chased after a rubber ball. He watched for a moment before deciding he should be on his way. Grasping the red box tightly in his pudgy hands, he stood up and began his long trek to his love’s house.
The boy breathed in deeply, the large white house coming into view. Its lawn was beautifully clipped, and the trees were flowering, the weather growing warmer with the sign of approaching spring. Bending down, the overweight boy plucked a white flower from the edge of the sidewalk and pinched two of his fingers together on its stem to make sure it wouldn’t blow away. He moved the heart-shaped box under his armpit and began to pull the petals off the flower as he drew closer to the white mansion-sized house. She loves me… He said quietly as the first petal drifted slowly to the ground. She loves me not… The second petal floated down after the first, and so on until the outsized boy reached the white oak door of his love’s house. He reached a shaky hand out to the doorbell and rang it, continuing to pluck the petals from the flower as he waited for an answer.
Not very long after, a tall blonde teen arrived at the door, her hair in four ponytails on the back of her head. She locked the boy that stood before her in a cold stare. “Do you need something?” She asked.
The brown-haired boy reached for the box under his arm and held it out to the blonde. “Here. Happy Valentine’s Day.”
The blonde teen stared for a moment longer, smacking on the large wad of gum in her mouth, and then slammed the door shut.
The outsized boy looked down at the box in his pudgy hands, and then at the flower that still remained, its last petal blowing away as a strong gust of wind blew.

The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P

Am I that unimportant...?
Am I so insignificant...?
Isn't something missing?
Isn't someone missing me?

For a long time, I gazed at the red moon. Just by doing that, why am I crying? I start to wish I would disappear.
